Jacob Isaac & his wife Sheela, graduates of the Union Biblical Seminary, are the Founding Directors of Kerygma.

Prior to Kerygma, Jacob & Sheela worked with the UESI (similar to the IVCF) overseeing work in the Southern Region of Karnataka, from 1991 to 1997. Jacob was also involved in providing leadership for the Mass Media and the Magazine Departments of UESI.

Jacob Isaac

Professional Qualification: Besides being the CEO of Kerygma, Jacob is also a 'Certified Professional Behavioral Analyst' and an 'EQ coach‘, providing direction to Pro-Biz Consultants Pvt. Ltd., a training outfit providing training solutions to corporate leadership in India.

After graduating from Bangalore, he completed his masters in Theological studies at Union Biblical Seminary, Pune, India and is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Ministry program in 'Transformational Leadership' at the Bakke Graduate University (BGU), Seattle USA.

International Ministry involvement: He is actively involved in creating and evolving new methods and strategies to reach the urban youth of India. He has presented papers at the annual IASYM (International Association Of the Study of Youth Ministry
(www.IASYM.com) forum in UK. He represents South India in the EFIYC, (Evangelical Fellowship of India Youth Commission) and India on the core team of the SACYM (South Asia Christian Youth Network). He has founded the Bangalore Youth Transformation Network (BYT) along with other leaders in Bangalore.

Lausanne Leadership: He has most recently involved with the program planning team of the Younger Leaders Gathering (Sep 29 th to Oct 01 2006) of the Lausanne Committee held at Malaysia. He continues to be involved in the movement and will be further involved in the emerging leadership of the Lausanne Movement.

Worship Leader: As a worship leader he has led worship for events involving Dr Selwyn Hughes, Joni Eareckson Tada, Dr Sam Kamalesan to name a few and has organized many creative worship events including an “all night” worship event for the youth of Bangalore city.

Jacob is a pioneer youth ministry practitioner, small group specialist and naturally very creative in his outlook to leadership in and around the globe.

Sheela Isaac

Sheela, the ‘Chief Operations Officer' of Kerygma is a very focused individual. A go getter, she is highly motivated when it comes to spreading the good news of Jesus. A passionate teacher of the Bible, trained facilitator for the S.Y.I.S workshops and also a very busy mother!

Her passion in life is to reach the whole world with the gospel of Christ. No wonder she has co-founded and pioneered this creative urban ministry along with Jacob. A ministry that has touched thousands of lives in and around Bangalore city during the last ten years.

She & Jakes have been married 15 years with three daughters aged Rebecca 13, Jerusha 9 and Deborah 7.
