Jacob Isaac & his wife Sheela, graduates of the Union Biblical Seminary, are the Founding Directors of Kerygma.

Prior to Kerygma, Jacob & Sheela worked with the UESI (similar to the IVCF) overseeing work in the Southern Region of Karnataka, from 1991 to 1997. Jacob was also involved in providing leadership for the Mass Media and the Magazine Departments of UESI.

Jacob Isaac
Professional Qualification: Besides being the CEO of Kerygma and an ordained minister of the National Churches and Missions Association, Jacob is also a 'Certified Professional Behavioral Analyst' and an 'EQ coach‘ providing training solutions to corporate and Church leadership in India.

After graduating from St Joseph’s Bangalore, he completed his masters in Theological studies at Union Biblical Seminary, Pune, India and is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Ministry program in 'Transformational Leadership' at the Bakke Graduate University (BGU), Seattle USA.

International Ministry involvement: He is actively involved in creating and evolving new methods and strategies to reach the urban youth of India. He has presented papers at the annual IASYM (International Association Of the Study of Youth Ministry (www.IASYM.com) forum in UK and has most recently written a chapter on youth ministry in India for a Zondervan publication.
He represents South Asia in the World Evangelical Alliance YC, and is the Secretary of the Evangelical Fellowship of India Youth Commission. He serves as a consultant on the core team of the SACYM (South Asia Christian Youth Network). He has founded the Bangalore Youth Transformation Network (BYT) along with other leaders in Bangalore.

Lausanne Leadership: He began his journey on the program planning team of Lausanne Committees, Younger Leaders Gathering (YLG 06) held at Malaysia. He continues to be involved in the movement on the Younger Leaders Team and has been further involved as a Master of Ceremonies for the Lausanne Leadership meetings in Budapest 2008 and Cape Town 2010.
Worship Leader: A talented worship leader, he has led worship for events involving Dr Selwyn Hughes, Joni Eareckson Tada, Dr Sam Kamalesan and in International gatherings to name a few. He has organized many creative worship events including an “All Night” worship event for the youth of Bangalore city.

Jacob is a pioneer, youth ministry practitioner, small group specialist and naturally very creative in his outlook to leadership in and around the globe.

Sheela Isaac
Sheela, the ‘Chief Operations Officer' of Kerygma is a very focused individual. A passionate teacher of the Bible, trained facilitator for the S.Y.I.S workshops and also a very busy mother!

She has co-founded and pioneered this creative urban ministry along with Jacob. A ministry that has touched thousands of lives in and around Bangalore city during the last ten years. She also volunteers as the prayer co-ordinator for South Asia for the Lausanne Movement for Cape Town 2010.

She & Jakes have been married 18 years with three daughters aged Rebecca 17, Jerusha 13 and Deborah 11.

Ivan Delaiah Jabez
After completing his B.Com. at the Annamalai University and B.Th. at the Calcutta Bible Seminary he served as a Pastor, Worship leader, Teacher and in various administrative roles at the Evangelical Church of India from 2002 – 2007. He has been working with Kerygma since June 2007. Ivan is a gifted worship leader and teacher of the Word. He has a great passion for young people.

Chandra
She originally hails from Manipur and is a graduate of Calcutta Bible Seminary. This gifted singer and dancer, is a very friendly person and is the wife of Ivan Jabez.

K. Balasubramani
Completed his bachelor’s of Science at the Bangalore University. Having begun his career in a Chartered Accountants firm as a trainee for 5 years he currently works as an Accountant in Kerygma.

Dr Tony Sam George is the Head of the department, Psychology at Christ University, Bangalore. After graduation at Christ College, he went on to complete his MSW at Roshini Nilaya and later completed his doctorate at NIMHANS. He served in Montfort College for Counselling and recently took up this new position at Christ University.

Gideon Jagadish graduate of St. Josephs he started his career as a HR executive and is now a senion HR manager of Spheris, one of the leading Medical Transciption companies in India.

Thomas John, a graduate of Madras Christian College, Chennai, in Advertising and Marketing, worked as an Information Architect in Bangalore, before starting his own design consultancy firm, Seventh Inc.
